About Us
Matt Gillam (center) partnered with cousins Henry (left) and Jimmy Powers (right) to start a cattle ranch in 2014. Matt grew up in Steelville, Missouri. Henry & Jimmy grew up in St. Louis. The three of us, with the help of Matt’s wife, Abigail, and their family run Fisherman Springs Ranch.
About the Ranch
Fisherman Spring Ranch (FSR) is located on 92 acres of beautiful rolling hills outside Steelville, Missouri.
We use a rotational grazing system to ensure sustainability in the beef industry. This improves forage production, increases soil fertility to provide premium nutrients, and reduces carbon in the atmosphere.
We have planted indigenous prairie grasses which cows not only favor but thrive on due to the high digestive protein intake. The cows drink from natural well water and roam our pastures to ensure healthy cows and healthy beef to feed your family.
